Senior Business & Technology Consultant

As a Senior Business & Technology Consultant, you contribute to the development and delivery of First Consulting’s vision and mission. You have an active role in the acquisition of new projects and are therefore capable of helping us grow our Business. You take responsibility and ownership for the quality of our client delivery, help structure and lead projects, and safeguard the scope of individual projects and their alignment. By doing so, you contribute to leading customers such as Heineken, Vodafone, BAM, Delta Lloyd and leading Utilities by improving their operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to one or more project teams;
• Deliver projects from the initiation phase until the handover to the client organisation within the agreed schedule and budget, in accordance with the agreed quality standards;
• Manage escalations and optimise effective communication with the client;
• Build and maintain a relevant network at the client;
• Identify possibilities to expand the current service package at both new and at existing clients;
• Direct and manage the business and technology consultants on the project as well as their personal development.

Requirements

• A university degree in areas such as: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business;
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a consultant in a project-based, client-orientated environment;
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a role with ultimate responsibility in a project environment;
• Down-to-earth, no-nonsense mentality;
• Strong communication skills;
• Explicitly decisive and result-orientated;
• Analytical & creative;
• Commercial: demonstrable experience in developing client relationships;
• Socially skilled team player;
• Experience in an asset-intensive sector (energy, telecom, transport) is an advantage.
