Synechron Business Consulting is currently recruiting for different levels within its Finance, Risk and Control (FR&C) practice in London. The FR&C practice is undergoing a growth phase and there are exciting opportunities for the right candidates to contribute to development of the practice in London and beyond.

Responsibilities

Role and responsibilities will depend on experience. However, the responsibilities at all levels will typically include the following consulting activities:

  • Deliver specific projects on client site individually and as part of Synechron Business Consulting along with client teams
  • Engage with clients to deliver practical solutions
  • Project management
  • Practice development and entrepreneurship
  • Proposition and solution development
  • Client proposal development and sales support
  • Client presentations
  • Contribute to vision development, white papers and thought leadership

Requirements

  • Minimum six years of experience within the financial services industry (banking and/or insurance)
  • Experience of either performing a key function in the finance domain of a financial services organisation or as a consultant to such an organisation
  • Experience in all key aspects of the finance function (accounting, consolidation & reporting, forecasting & analysis, capital management and ALM)
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to senior stakeholders while exhibiting an understanding of strategic levers and governance mechanisms
  • Knowledge of finance IT architecture and applications
  • Knowledge of finance & risk management processes and reporting in particular as a pre-requisite
  • Thorough knowledge of Basel II/III, Solvency II requirements, regulatory reporting and IFRS
  • Experience in data management (data governance framework, data modelling, data flow design/analysis and data integration architecture)
  • Broad knowledge of regulatory and economic factors impacting the industry
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, wholesale banking, retail banking and insurance products
  • Thorough knowledge of front to back processes (from source to end report)
  • Project management capabilities and delivery excellence along with excellent communication skills
  • Extensive experience in writing business cases along with good presentation and analytical ability
  • 100% travel to client site may be required
