Role description

Whether our clients are implementing new technology programmes, experiencing technology issues or looking to refresh their technology, our system integration (SI) team at Deloitte provides clients with a range of services to help our clients implement the technology enabled change across their organisation. We have strong integration experience combined with project management skills that enables us to successfully manage risks and provide project delivery approaches tailored to our clients’ needs.

The delivery work we do in SI for our clients includes:

  • Define, establish and run their most complex Systems Integration programmes

  • Client side support ? Providing client-side assurance that the integration delivery work being conducted by a third-party provider is fit for purpose. This can involve detailed design and build reviews, user acceptance testing, operational acceptance testing, facilitation knowledge transfer and training and supporting integration decommissioning

  • Building, testing and deploying integrations ? End to end integration delivery from requirements through design, build and test, go-live and support. Deloitte has a number of specialists across a range of integration packages that can deliver this type of work

We work across all aspects of technology delivery including digital solutions, package integration, systems integration, custom development and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

As a Consultant / Manager within SI, you can expect to be both technically and intellectually challenged. You will be required to lead and manage a team (onshore and possibly offshore) in order to implement/deliver our solutions.

  • Foremost, you will quickly apply your skills and experience at client sites on a range of projects and programmes to deliver the services listed above

  • Supporting development of proposals and propositions

  • Graduate recruitment

  • Team development activities

  • At the Manager level, you will develop your sales activities and deepen your already strong industry alignment in preparation for more senior positions and future promotion in the firm.

  • Managers would also be expected to have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture

Requirements

We want people who will embody technology delivery and system integration at Deloitte Consulting and have the professional and personal skills to make a real difference to our Clients. Candidates should have a strong background in both technical and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the end to end SI project lifecycle, and have a good idea of the technology landscape for integrations or system integrations.

As such, candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of successfully leading teams in one or more of the following areas:

  • Programme or project management in a technology environment

  • Experienced in either architecting or the technical delivery of integration platforms

  • Experienced in either architecting or the technical delivery of functional components within an integrated system environment

  • Knowledge on Integration Architecture patterns and Best practices

  • Managing near-shore and off-shore teams within a technology programme

  • Systems Integration and software development

  • Middleware development
  • Awareness of the System Integration technologies (e.g. Packages ? TIBCO / IBM Middleware / Oracle Middleware / Mulesoft etc, Web-services (REST / SOAP) / XML / JSON etc)
  • Experience of performing a development manager role on multiple large scale integration projects (ideally managing resources)

  • Any prior experience of setting up or working within Integration Centre of Excellence would be beneficial but not essential

In addition, you will also have strong communication and stakeholder management skills and be able to demonstrate proactive management of your career and professional development to-date.

All candidates must have full travel mobility and the right to live and work in the UK. A good graduate degree (1st or Upper Second) is required combined with post-graduate experience in one or more of the following industries or related consulting field:
