Role description

Our Test consultancy team provides strategic advice to our clients where their new and existing technology implementations are at risk. We help provide assurance that their applications and system architecture meet the set requirements, including in many cases developing and running the testing strategy, testing projects and individual components (e.g. functional testing, integration testing, load & stress testing, security testing and UAT). Our proposition differs from our competitors as we are not purely delivery focussed, we pride ourselves on providing a more consultative and strategic approach to testing.

As part of this role you will be responsible for devising test strategies, advising and managing test automation, reviewing test practices and advising on improvements to the test process. You will get the chance to work with top tier clients across a range of sectors, providing high quality test advisory services. This an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing team that has a unique position in the test consulting market.

We are currently looking for driven Senior Managers with expertise in the Capital Markets sector that can help develop our Testing capability in this sector. You will be tasked with growing our business in the Capital Markets through client engagement and delivery of new business opportunities.


Senior Manager will have responsibility for:

  • Working with the Capital Markets and Testing leads to develop & implement existing & new market propositions across a number of industry sectors.
  • Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership in Testing
  • Building and developing long terms relationships with senior stakeholders across our client organisations
  • Act as a role model - help to develop and mentor junior resources
  • To have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
  • Supporting the management of key client stakeholders' relationships and leading teams of Deloitte and client personnel
  • Taking responsibility for budgets (or portions of budgets), client deliverables and billing
  • Supporting the development of client bids and presentations of proposals.
  • Defining test strategies for large and complex test delivery;
  • Reviewing test practices and coaching the team on improvement opportunities;
  • Working with key stakeholders at the client, building strong trusted relationships
  • To have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture


To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Deep sector specific expertise gained in Capital Markets, Investment Management and Treasury services.
  • The ability to develop solutions and value adding propositions and take these to market.
  • The ability to manage a strong industry network, identify and convert sales opportunities and lead the sales process.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and in many different and challenging environments.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to liaise with both technical and business contacts at our clients.
  • Experience of managing, strengthening and broadening key client relationships.
  • Experience of functional system testing, inter system / application integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance and Resilience.
  • A proven track record in a top tier consultancy.
  • ISEB foundation (or equivalent experience).
  • Test Management Tool Expertise (such as HP Quality Centre).
  • Proven technical ability - combined with strong business acumen.
  • Strong academic record - including a minimum of 2.1 degree (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable rapid career progression to-date.
