Role description

In Technology FS Applications, we adopt a business led approach to achieving technology enabled transformation. Our Banking clients engage us to solve their most complex problems, helping them to shape and deliver a strategy in response to regulatory driven change and the new competitive landscape.

As part of this team, you'll work alongside a team of Banking and Securities specialists and will be able to quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge and consultancy skills to become an expert in your field. You will be expected to lead small teams and develop the talent of our community.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Support and deliver successful implementations and projects within one or more of the Financial Services industries (Retail and Wholesale Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance)
  • Workon large FS technology implementations and integrationprojects from business perspective with knowledge of requirements gathering and process definition
  • Leadproject lifecycle work stream activities including requirements gathering, End to End testing, process mapping and supporting technology change for FS and ERP systems
  • Lead teams to implementagreed solutions to quality and timescales
  • Build effective and collaborative alliances withIT, operations, risk, treasury, finance and front/back office stakeholders to enable timely and quality deliverables
  • Demonstrate your ability to build effective networks and articulate the relevance of new market proposition to FS clients, and support the growth of new market offerings
  • Support pre-sales, bid development and client sales presentations
  • Provide mentoring and support the development of junior members of the practice
  • Provide a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; and have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in Retail or Wholesale Banking
  • Extensive experience in the financial services industry and underlying systems used
  • Broad knowledge of one or moreFS applications, their capabilities and value proposition. Includes Calypso, Misys, Murex, Temenos, Marketwire, Lombard Risk, Polaris, Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the Financial Services industries listed below:
    • Retail Banking processes, reporting & systems knowledge aroundone or more product areas:savings, PCA, mortgages, cards, loans, credit risk, payments, etc.
    • Wholesale banking processes, reporting and systems to support cash management, commercial loans, trade finance, etc.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of banking controls and reports, such as regulatory, statutoryand managementdriving operationchange
  • Proven track record in successful delivery of FS technologies from a business change and adoption perspective
  • Experience leading teams through whole project lifecycles, from scoping and planning through to testing and post go live/support
  • Experience leading teams taken part in detailed business process analysis project ('As Is' definition) and provided recommendations for the future processes
  • Proven track record of sales and successful technology implementations/migrationswithin the FS industry
  • Strategic vision and the ability to design and present optimum systems and process solutions for the client
  • Experience in senior stakeholder management
  • Strong leadership skills
