Role description

Deloitte’s Global Export Controls and Sanctions practice has a worldwide network of over 500 international trade professionals in over 95 countries. The team works seamlessly together to provide strategic and operational trade compliance solutions and advice to clients across the globe.

We work with clients to develop and optimise their global trade strategy, so that the movement of goods, people and technology enables their overall business strategy. Our experienced team understands complex international trade regulations, effective internal controls, and how to integrate the two. We approach trade compliance from a commercial perspective, helping clients to enhance their business operations through effective management of trade compliance. We specialise in applying leading practice methodologies to develop global trade compliance programmes that address both international requirements and embed controls into day-to-day business operations. This approach maximises risk management, cost reduction and in turn, drives improved business performance.

Our market leading export control team is led out of the UK and is the largest and most experienced amongst the Big 4 Professional Services Firms, with a global reputation for its quality and expertise. Our team includes lawyers, accountants/auditors, customs brokers, former government officials, and industry specialists. This diverse team supports our operations-driven approach and enhances the more traditional, pure legal/regulatory advice often given by some of our competitors. The team is dynamic, international and entrepreneurial.
