Role Description
The Deloitte Supply Chain Practice is a market leading team providing pragmatic solutions to clients. We are recruiting for a Senior Consultant or Manager to work within this practice. You will be exposed to the breadth of supply chain activities whilst also deepening your knowledge in the areas of your choice.
You'll receive structured training to help develop your technical and consulting skills. You'll broaden your skill set and develop quickly by gaining access to the highest levels of client liaison. You'll work on complex, high-profile projects and will play a key role in influencing account development and supporting sales activities in our target multinational accounts.
Responsibilities
A Senior Consultant will have responsibility for:
- Leading small teams on projects
- Managing, developing and encouraging junior members of the team
- Delivering tasks on time and within budget and in line with client expectations
- Delivering multiple pieces of work in parallel, both client facing and internal
- Supporting practice development activities
- Supporting sales activities and bids
- Supporting development of the Deloitte business, brand and reputation
Manager grades will have a greater focus on business development with strong impact resulting in sales and revenue generation
Requirements
To qualify for the role you must have:
- Good appreciation of the Consumer and Industrial Products sector, ideally with a focus on Retail or Consumer Products fulfilment, gained with a large retailer, ‘Big 4’ , tier 2 consultancy or leading Logistics niche / service provider
- Expertise in complex Excel or software package network design modelling e.g. use of Llamasoft supply chain / data guru
- Experience implementing performance improvement in logistics environments including warehouse design (optimal layout and deployment of technology solutions) preferable
- Experience of implementing change in different multichannel delivery approaches ? click & collect, home delivery, locker bank, collection point
- Prior experience in a consulting environment; strong in project management, budgeting, stakeholder management and issue resolution
- Experience leading small to medium teams / work streams across a range of projects
- Flexibility in work location
