Based in our airy and bustling offices at The Gasworks, Belfast ? formerly the site processing and making gas to light the city streets. Today, we light up the city in entirely new ways, using digital to reshape the future of how we live, work and play.
Responsibilities
- Own design, implementation, and testing for assigned system components when creating cutting-edge digital solutions.
- Develop product and design specs for assigned system components working collaboratively with leaders in the business.
- Implements and executes tests of assigned portion of system components.
- Work with outstanding digital talent across disciplines to innovate and solve some of the most exciting problems for our clients.
- Be a custodian of the detail, performing all duties and responsibilities as required by the Engineering Procedures.
- Constantly looking for improvements to assigned portion of system components.
- Going beyond standard duties and responsibilities to champion small details, spot opportunities and add extra value for our clients.
Requirements
Overall, you’re an ideas person and problem solver as well as a hands-on doer ? that’s important. A good graduate degree (First or Upper Second) is a must, along with the right to live and work in the UK.
You’ll also have
- Demonstrable knowledge commercial knowledge directly-related experience within software development.
- Working experience in iOS development and proficient with Objective-C or Swift and Cocoa Touch.
- Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
- Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
- Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
- Proficient understanding of GIT code versioning.
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Experience working with Scrum or Agile development environment.
- Has delivered at least one product, preferably in an Agile Development team.
- Strong OOAD experience .
- Experience with integrating with other systems through web services, e.g. RESTful APIs.
- Ability to translate product requirements into design specifications.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Multi-threaded coding experience, along with both asynchronous and synchronous code.
- Experience with performance and memory tuning.
- Solid debugging (Xcode preferred) and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of MVC development patterns.
- Familiarity with continuous integration.
