Role description
With over 500 professionals in the UK, our Human Capital practice is renowned for providing distinctive depth and breadth of organisation transformation services to clients undertaking complex major programmes. Our practice combines project and programme management capabilities with change management, organisational design and leadership expertise, helping our clients identify, manage and solve the people issues that cause businesses to perform below their potential.
The practice is made up of four competencies: HR Transformation, Organisation Transformation and Talent, Programme Leadership and Actuarial and Pension Services. Between them we deliver a wide range of capabilities ? from maximising Human Resource value, capability and strategy execution through cultural change to organisation design and workforce planning.

Our HR Transformation proposition aims to drive greater shareholder value by increasing the capability of the Human Resource function to impact business performance. Deloitte addresses HR value and capability by transforming client HR functions structurally, creating and enabling more strategic roles, and improving efficiency and effectiveness through improved tools and operations.
As a Director in the team you will be working closely with the Partners and play a key part in making a difference by really influencing and shaping the strategic development of the team. You will also have the commercial experience necessary to build and develop significant new business opportunities for the Firm ? focused on the development of senior client relationships within Human Capital. In doing so, you will build a level of eminence in the marketplace that gives you the platform to support the Firm’s growth ambitions over the long-term ? as well as building high-performance teams around you to support these growth plans.
To be successful in this role, you will be a subject matter expert leading multiple, high-profile projects and bids, whilst developing innovative thought leadership. You will have the opportunity to learn from the best in the business and also help recruit the best people, coach and support them whilst driving activity such as proposition development and marketing.

- Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them and a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
Requirements
To qualify for the role you must have:
- Relevant experience and relationships within Human Capital
- Track record in managing the successful delivery of large, complex programmes / engagements on time and within budget
- Proven ability to structure and develop and deliver HR transformation solutions
- Track record in account development, business and relationship development and the ability to identify and act upon opportunities to build and develop Deloitte's HR Transformation practice footprint
- Proven ability to understand, mitigate and manage risk
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to articulate complex ideas to all levels of an organisation, and effectively lead and manage all key stakeholders
- Excellent programme management discipline. This will involve working with clients to improve their organisation design, change and leadership culture
- Ability to lead and direct large and cross functional teams
- Excellent people management and development skills with a strong focus onteam development
- A proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects, including design and implementation of Human Resources Transformations
- 100% flexibility on travel requirements
