Role description

In FS Applications, we adopt a business led approach to achieving technology enabled transformation. Our Banking clients engage us to solve their most complex problems, helping them to shape and deliver a strategy in response to regulatory driven change and the new competitive landscape.
As part of this team, you'll work alongside a team of Banking specialists and will be able to quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge and consultancy skills to become an expert in your field. You will be expected to lead small teams and develop the talent of our community.
As well as working on client engagements, you will also have the opportunity to help build new business, growing our market offering and supporting the management of our team.
Benefiting from early client exposure, you'll be working and learning from some of the top practitioners in the field enabling you to develop your skills quickly and build credibility in the industry from an early stage.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Support and deliver successful implementations and projects within one or more of the Financial Services industries (Retail/Wholesale Banking and Capital Markets)
- Work on large FS technology implementations and integration projects from a business perspective with knowledge of requirements gathering and process definition
- Support project lifecycle work stream activities including requirements gathering, End to End testing processes and supporting technology change
- Work within teams to implement agreed solutions to quality and timescales
- Build effective and collaborative alliances with IT, operations, risk, treasury, finance and front/back office stakeholders to enable timely and quality deliverables
- Demonstrate your ability to build effective networks and articulate the relevance of the new market proposition to FS clients, and support the growth of the new market offering
- Support thought leadership, bid development and client sales presentations
- Support the development of junior members of the practice
- Report status to senior management and clients
- Ensure the quality of deliverables of your team is consistent with our standards, providing support and training where required
Requirements
- Proven working experience in either Retail Banking or Capital Markets products, lifecycles and/or technology
- Proven experience in FS process and technology change
- Knowledge of at least one of the following Financial Services system applications; Calypso, Misys, Murex, Temenos, Marketwire, Lombard Risk, Polaris, Oracle, SAP, etc.
- Knowledge of one or more of the Financial Services industries listed below (Retail/Wholesale Banking and/or Capital Markets):
- Retail Banking processes, reporting & systems knowledge around one or more products such as savings, current accounts, mortgages, cards, loans and one or more functional areas such as credit risk, finance, payments, etc.
- Wholesale banking processes, reporting and systems to support cash management, commercial loans, trade finance, etc.
- Investment Banking front to back office business and systems processes and architecture, product knowledge, regulation and reporting.
- Knowledge and experience of FS controls and reports, such as regulatory, statutory and management.
- Knowledge of impacts of regulation agenda, product knowledge, awareness of industry themes.
- Participated in project lifecycles, preferably from scoping and planning through to post go live/support.
- Taken part in a detailed business process analysis project ('As Is' definition) and provided recommendations for the future process.
- Comprehensive business and process knowledge across FS products and changing market environment
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of complex transactions and related configuration options within system applications
- Excellent communication and client management skills
