Summary
To work as part of a team to provide a reliable and high standard of pension fund accounting services for a portfolio of clients in compliance with current regulations and to agreed client service delivery levels and regulatory deadlines. The role also includes accountability for the checking and peer review of client deliverable work.
Responsibility
- To project manage the annual pension scheme accounts process from planning, preparation and peer review, through to audit and completion.
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with internal stakeholders, auditors, clients and other scheme advisers.
- To efficiently prepare accurate accounting information for clients in compliance with regulations & in accordance with agreed SLAs. To prepare ad hoc financial information as requested. Be accountable for the standard and quality of own work and peer review work undertaken by other team members.
- To complete all associated routine tasks, following agreed business procedural requirements, including accurate time recording, use of standard templates, peer review, e-filing & WIP reporting.
Qualifications
Education
GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
Preferably degree level education
Completed AAT / ACCA qualification (or equivalent), or has relevant experience in a pension fund accountant role.
Experience
Previous experience of working in an accounting environment or financial services industry.

Strong technical accounting knowledge
Experience of providing pension fund accounting service to a portfolio of clients
