The Role
Our Business Intelligence capability is a specific area of focus and growth for KPMG. We provide strategic, organisational and technical advisory work for our clients that allows them to exploit their information needs. As a member of this team you would be working amongst high performing teams, delivering industry leading Analytics, Reporting and Data Management capabilities.
Roles and Responsibilities
The role of a Consultant (Advisor) within KPMG Business Intelligence has two specific area of focus, where the majority of their time will be spent on Client Service:
1) Client Service
- Delivery of high quality advisory and/or technical services to our clients
- Ownership of small pieces of work through to delivery
- Supporting our Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners at our clients on their Business Intelligence journey
- Building lasting relationships with their key client stakeholders
- Being responsible for their work in the plan, flagging risks and issues
2) Practice & Business Development
- Utilising their previous and growing experience to build and develop knowledge within the team
- Developing and building on both their consulting and delivery capability
- Completing training to build their capability
- Supporting the development of bid proposals
Qualifications and Skills
- Advisory skills, be that in a consulting organisation or to internal stakeholders within non-consulting organisations
- Demonstrable capability delivering Analytics, Reporting and Data Management
- Able to talk, at high level, to the current BI marketplace and have an opinion on where the market is heading
- Proficient in MS office software
- Demonstrable understanding and/or experience in Analytics, Reporting & Data Management Tools
Experience and Background:
Must have:
- Previous consulting experience with Big 4 Consultancy
- Advanced BI Skills using technology in list (Tableau, Qlikview, Alteryx, Spotfire)
- Proven delivery of BI Projects
Our Consultants will have experience in one or more of the below:
- Understanding the delivery of projects through a standard project lifecycle, as well as alternative delivery methods such as agile
- Analysing of data, identifying insights and providing hypotheses
- Contributing to data warehouse/data mart data models
- Contributing to ETL design documentation
- Contributing to data migration design and data quality analysis
- Analysing and documenting reporting requirements

Willingness to travel within the UK is essential.
