Our Employee Health & Benefits business is one of the UK’s largest employee benefit consultancies. As a Group Risk Consultant you will build and maintain your own portfolio of clients with their Group Life, Income Protection and Critical Illness arrangements. You would also work in a collaborative team environment alongside other consultants to deliver complex projects with many of our large corporate clients. You will identify client needs and deliver practical, cost-effective and fully compliant solutions that help clients manage the costs, people risks and complexities of their employee benefits.
Working from our Manchester office you will:

Develop and maintain a portfolio of Group Risk clients, by providing quality consulting advice and on-going service.

Ensure that revenue from this portfolio is profitable, identify and expand business lines and service delivery.

Take overall responsibility for the delivery to the client of the agreed services.

Manage and develop strong client relationships.

Work pro-actively with internal teams to deliver client expectations in line with agreed client account plans.

Provide a service compliant with all procedures and Mercer Code of Professional Conduct and the FCA.

Maintain required industry and technical knowledge.

Compliance with sales process and Miller Heiman tools.

Act as role model with integrity and professionalism.

Build and maintain a professional network of peers internally and externally.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience required:
-
Minimum of 2 years Group Risk Employee Benefits Consulting Experience (Group Life, Income Protection, Critical Illness)

Financial and Commercial acumen (including fee negotiation skills).

Excellent consulting and client relationship management skills.

Technical and process knowledge of Group Risk products.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

SalesForce.com or similar CRM experience would be an advantage.
