Mercer has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employee Benefits Consultant to help our clients deal with complex employee health and benefits issues.
Our Employee Health & Benefits business is one of the UK’s largest employee benefit consultancies. You will develop new business and manage your own portfolio of large corporate clients on a broad base of Employee Benefits Issues in Healthcare / PMI, Group Risk and/or Insured Pensions. You will work closely with your clients to identify their needs and deliver practical, cost-effective and fully compliant solutions that help manage the costs, people risks and complexities of their Employee Benefits.
Working from our Bristol office you will:
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of clients, by providing quality consulting advice relating to Group Risk, Pensions and Private Medical Insurance.
- Ensure that revenue from this portfolio is profitable, identify and expand cross selling opportunities and service delivery.
- Identify, research and actively pursue new business opportunities.
- Take overall responsibility for the delivery to the client of the agreed services.
- Manage and develop strong and profitable client relationships.
- Work pro-actively with internal teams to deliver client expectations in line with agreed client account plans.
- Maintain and develop your industry and technical knowledge.
- Compliance with sales process and Miller Heiman tools.
- Act as role model with integrity and professionalism.
- Build and maintain a professional network of peers internally and externally, leveraging these relationships and identifying further sales opportunities where possible
- Provide a service compliant with all Mercer procedures, Code of Professional Conduct and the FCA.

Qualifications
Skills & Experience required:
- Minimum of 2 years Group Risk and/or Insured DC Pensions and/or PMI / Healthcare Consulting experience
- Experience of working with large corporate companies
- Financial and Commercial acumen (including fee negotiation skills)
- Excellent consulting and client relationship management skills
- Technical, product and process knowledge (Group Risk, Pensions, PMI)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- SalesForce.com or similar CRM experience would be an advantage
