Growth Advisor

Purpose of Role

The Business Growth Advisor plays a pivotal role within the Business Growth Services department within Grant Thornton UK LLP. 

Growth365 is a brand new, innovative and consultative initiative. It has been designed to provide a prestigious and strategic service to fast growing businesses with £10-100m turnover. The post holder is responsible for developing a client portfolio and effectively delivering the Growth365 service to clients and acting as their trusted business advisor.

Growth365 has been designed for high-growth businesses; it is a tailored pre-qualified membership service. Members, receive a bespoke actionable programme that is delivered by a dedicated and experienced business leader. 

Main Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the development of this venture and recruiting client companies to the programme and ensuring they are both eligible and suitable
• You will build, manage and serve a portfolio of at least 15 companies
• Day to day you will act as a trusted advisor for each of your members, providing them with the support and advice they need to grow
• A referral network is vital, you will introduce key people to clients to help their growth journey as well as answer growth-specific questions

Experience/Education/Qualifications required:

• Highly credible business expert with an excellent understanding of high growth businesses, how they work and the challenges and barriers to their growth
• Sophisticated networking, business development, influencing and selling skills appropriate to this type of programme
• Ability to, and understanding of, how to match companies and coaches considering skills, experience and personality dimensions
• Effective advocate who is thoroughly networked and knowledgeable of national and local business support infrastructure
• Able to develop strong relationships with senior management in client companies and with a wide range of business support specialists
