We are currently seeking motivated graduates and work placement students to join us on a 12-month contract from March 2025 to support both our client assignment delivery and business operations at Skarbek. About the Role:
As an intern at Skarbek, you will work in our Weybridge office, immersed in a dynamic and fast-paced consultancy environment. You’ll engage in a diverse range of business areas including strategy, marketing, new service development, business development, operations and client assignment delivery. One of our previous interns found themselves with the corporate executive team of a major energy corporation on just their second day! We are committed to nurturing talent and strive to equip you with skills that will serve as a springboard for a successful career whether that be within Skarbek beyond your internship or elsewhere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Leadership – Conducting analytical research projects, leading searches and producing clear and actionable reports to support the delivery of client assignments.
- Corporate Product Development – Assist the team in creating training materials, pitch decks and engagement documentation ready for client deployment.
- Marketing Support – Collaborate with the Marketing Team in the design and execution of external-facing marketing/PR initiatives such as events, digital media content and webinars.
- Competitor Analysis – Lead fact-finding efforts for benchmarking and competitor analysis to inform internal decision-making.
- Digital Engagement – Support our Digital Program Manager in the design and implementation of internal and external digital initiatives and tools.
- Business Development Support – Assist in Skarbek’s Business Development efforts in developing research and briefs in preparation for client interactions.
- Content Development – Contribute to the development of Skarbek collateral.
Desired Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
- Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field such as International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Project & Portfolio Management or Economics.
- Strong interest in Project & Portfolio Management.
- Proven analytical skills and excellent organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Critical and conceptual thinking capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts simply and visually.
- Attention to detail with a “right first time” mindset.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs.
- High digital literacy, particularly in Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), and ability to speak additional languages is desirable.
- Must have full legal right to work in the UK, as unfortunately we are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
