Role description

You will be part of the Analytics team, developing and refining innovative solutions to help clients get the most out of their data. You with have the opportunity to work with other teams in the Consulting practice, across the Public, Private and Financial Services sectors.




The following are some examples of the day-to-day work you will be involved in:

  • Estimation of customer propensities to help in better targeting and risk assessment;
  • Clustering / neural networks to help build customer and market segments to aid product development;
  • Time series forecasting for trend forecasting;
  • Regression analysis to analyse relationships;
  • PCA / factor analysis for vector quantisation;
  • Pricing and distribution optimisation;
  • Geospatial modelling for distribution and marketing;
  • Build of interactive dashboards for management information.


Experience is not necessary. However, the ideal applicant should be:

Academic requirements:


  • English Language ? C
  • Maths ? B

UCAS points and Degree (Hons - in your first degree)

  • 300 UCAS points and a 1st degree
  • 320 UCAS points and a 2.1 degree

Degree discipline

  • Must contain mathematical content.

Our Offer

Deloitte training

  • When you join Deloitte, you will take part in an induction program with all the actuarial graduates and also with non-actuarial graduates joining the Consulting service line. This will introduce you to your fellow recruits and give you an overview of Deloitte. You will also take part in exercises to help you develop the skills you will need in the office.
  • As you continue with us, we will provide you with the training you need to develop. Deloitte offers a wide range of learning opportunities, including formal training courses and e-learning, to help you develop broader business skills. This training is focused on your own requirements, although there are some courses that most people will take. On a day-to-day basis, you will receive on-the-job training through your work with different actuarial colleagues and colleagues in other parts of the firm on different client and internal projects.
  • Graduates will be trained to use a variety of statistical packages and data manipulation software such as SAS, SQL and R, and shown how to present their findings in tailored dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Qlikview.
