Tomorrow the LGC Transformation Summit will take place in Reading. The summit has been set up for people that lead transformation in local authorities to share experiences and information, to learn and to explore possible solutions to transformation challenges. Capita acts as co-sponsor of the event.
LGC Transformation Summit
Local councils are under more and more pressure and with the continuing reduction in resources it is no longer an option to opt for modest change or adaptation. The LGC Transformation Summit has been set up for professionals that are leading transformation in local authorities to share their expertise and to learn and address common challenges for local authorities to survive over the next few years. The third edition of the event will again be organised according an ‘open space learning’ approach. This approach translates to participants working in small groups on projects and the formation of an exhibition to present findings and conclusions to help participants to make more progress locally. During the summit people will be peered with professionals performing similar roles, and with people at similar levels in different councils in so-called ‘application groups’.
The LGC Transformation Summit will take on 6 and 7 November 2014 at the Hilton hotel in Reading.
For professional services firms, the summit provides the ideal moment to showcase thought leadership and to learn from best practices from other experts in the field. This year, Capita has signed up to be one of the sponsors of the LGC Transformation Summit. Capita is a provider of business process management and integrated professional support service solutions that “supports local authorities through major changes in the way they deliver services, making sure they achieve what’s required of them, but also helping them make the most out of the opportunities that arise from change.”
