Ecorys has developed an Intermodal Planner for Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort. This planner allows logistics companies to find the best and fastest container transport services from and to the port, hence reducing costs and their environmental footprint. By doing so, the planner will show the benefits of multimodal transport which will help JadeWeserPort achieve growth.

Intermodal Links Planner
In May 2013, consulting firm Ecorys launched Intermodal Links, an online search engine that allows users to find the best and fastest container transport services between 700 terminals in 40 countries. The Intermodal Links Planner combines services of 100 different transport operators and determines the best route out of more than 9,000 direct connections, and more than 500,000 indirect connections (including one trans-shipment). Users of the search engine, that is similar to the Google route planner, will receive information on transport duration, frequency, departure, and contact details.

Wilhelmshaven
Ecorys’ Intermodal Links recently developed an Intermodal Planner for Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort. The planner allows users of the port access to 160 terminals in 27 countries and schedules of 40 intermodal transport operators with direct and indirect connections to/from the port. The planner will support JadeWeserPort in achieving its growth targets by showing the benefits of multimodal transport to logistics companies that use the port of Wilhelmshaven. By making use of the most efficient transportation route, which they can generate through the planner, these companies will be able to reduce costs and their environmental impact.
