Deloitte Consulting has announced plans to open a new delivery centre in Orlando, United States. The new entity will be based in Lake Mary and in the coming four years create 1,000 new jobs in the region.
In line with the growing demand for project management and IT support to its Consulting service offerings, Deloitte Consulting has decided to ramp up its delivery services with the setup of a new delivery centre. The new 130,000-square-foot office, located in Lake Mary, will help Deloitte Consulting to more efficiently and effectively scale and deliver projects. “The goal is to help clients in their efforts to drive projects to higher levels of business value and efficiency, by enhancing quality, while reducing project timelines and costs,” explains Bonnie Barnes, Principal at Deloitte Consulting.
The Orlando Delivery Center will primarily support the Technology, Strategy and Operations and Human Capital service areas from Deloitte Consulting's services portfolio. The Center will provide a wide range of capabilities — custom development, solution and platform integration, testing, database and systems administration, analytics (reporting and visualization) and information management service — with technology at the core.
It is estimated that the new Orlando office will add approximately 1,000 jobs, spread across the next four years, to Deloitte Consulting’s current U.S. headcount of more than 23,000 professionals.

Before deciding upon Lake Mary, the Big Four consulting firm considered several locations for its new Center. The choice for Orlando was to a large extent driven by the quality of the available workforce. “Access to skilled workers — especially in areas such as business, HR, IT and systems engineering — and proximity to well-respected educational institutions make the Orlando area an optimal location for our Delivery Center,” says Bert Naquin, Director at Deloitte Consulting.
