Deloitte has named Jason Warnes as a partner in its design and development agency, Deloitte Digital. Warner joins from TH_NK and prior to that AKQA, where he was Managing Director, and brings 18 years’ marketing experience to the role.
To capitalise on the spectacular surge of digital, accounting and consulting giant Deloitte three years ago launched a dedicated Digital unit, branded Deloitte Digital. The move has proven highly successful – with an estimated revenue of $1.5 billion globally Deloitte Digital is regarded as the second largest digital agency worldwide, trailing just IBM, and ahead of other major business advisory competitors. The venture supports clients – which ranges from corporates to SME’s and even the likes of musician Melissa Etheridge – with among others digital strategy, design, online, mobile, social analytics, user experience, e-commerce,omnichannel and digital enterprise ERP.
Deloitte Digital was established in May 2012, with roughly 800 employees across 11 digital studios in the US, UK, India and Australia, and on the back of strong growth the practice expanded its wings internationally* – the unit now boasts 4,000 employees across the world and an on the ground footprint in 15 countries, and in addition serves clients in many other geographies through its Deloitte member firm network, which spans operations in over 150 countries. The UK has been one of the key drivers of growth, expanding its base from the launching headcount of 100 to the current 500+ professionals, operating mainly in London (The Buckley Building; Clerkenwell) and Belfast (The Gasworks).
To meet growing demand for its services – digital is together with technology the fastest growing segment in the UK’s £6.4 billion advisory landscape – Deloitte Digital last month bolstered its senior team with Jason Warnes, an experienced professional in the field of digital marketing. He joins from digital agency TH_NK, where he worked for a year, and prior to that served AKQA, one of the larger digital marketing players globally, where he enjoyed a 15 year stint, in his last role as Managing Director. Warnes specialises in business transformation through digital, and has extensive experience across a wide range of sectors, including retail, automotive and technology, media and telecommunications.
At Deloitte Digital, Warnes will, from the base in Clerkenwell, further advance the UK digital marketing team, which aims at optimising customer experiences through the use of customer behaviour analytics and optimised ways of working with technology and processes. “I’m proud and excited about joining Deloitte Digital, as it combines the best aspects of a creative agency with the existing strengths of Deloitte. Just under a year ago, Deloitte Digital UK boosted its team with the addition of 21 professionals from Titanium Fire, a Salesforce boutique consultancy with a key focus on the insurance industry.
