Towers Watson adds Ann Flynn to UK pensions team

Ann Flynn has joined Towers Watson as a Senior Consultant to help the firm expand its UK defined contribution (DC) pensions practice further, on the back of market growth. Flynn has worked within the pensions sector for more than 20 years at a variety of organisations, including as an independent consultant, experience that will be leveraged in her new role.

Ann Flynn joins Towers Watson after having worked as an independent consultant for two and a half years. In 2013, she founded Ann Flynn Consulting, a company that advises financial services industry clients about strategic marketing proposition and communications. Prior to starting for herself, between 2010 and 2013, Flynn worked at Standard Life and held a variety of senior roles, including that of Head of Workplace Distribution Proposition, Head of Corporate Marketing and Head of Customer Management and Corporate Marketing. From 2004 to 2010, she worked for Scottish Widows as the firm’s Head of Marketing Communications for Corporate Pensions. Other positions held by Flynn include Marketing Manager at Aegon, Client Services Manager at Newton Barr Consulting Actuaries and Advisers, Regional Sales Consultant at Moore Marr Bradley, Benefit Supporter at Mercer and Pension Administrator at Guardian Royal Exchange.

Flynn studied Communications, Marketing, PR, and Visual Design at the Edinburgh Napier University.

In her new role at Towers Watson, Flynn will be responsible for the firm’s business development activities as a Senior Consultant to help the firm take advantage of growth within the DC market. “Ann is a very exciting hire for us as she combines over 20 years of industry experience with a strong focus on consultancy and business development.
