Life sciences consultancy Polaris opens Boston office

Polaris, a global consulting and technology firm that specialises in the health and life science sector, has opened a new office in Boston. To lead the office the advisory has hired the experienced Steve Vincze, who joins from Warner Chilcott.

With nearly 200 professionals across offices in New York, San Francisco, Amsterdam and Paris, Polaris is one of the larger consulting firms of the globe that focuses entirely on the and life sciences and healthcare industry.

In line with its ambition to boost its footprint, the US-origin firm has opened its third office in the country, based in Boston. To lead the operations Steve Vincze has been brought on board, an authority in the industry, bringing more than 20 years’ experience in the regulatory compliance space. Prior to joining Polaris, he was Chief Compliance Officer for Warner Chilcott, Director in Deloitte’s health care practice, and VP/Compliance Officer for TAP Pharmaceutical Products where he negotiated the first major CIA in the industry ($875M) and where he became one of Polaris’ first clients. Earlier in his career, Vincze worked as Defense Counsel for the US House of Representatives.

Vincze holds degrees in History from Columbia University, a JD from Southern Methodist University, an LLM from Georgetown University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Prior to his business career, Steve also served as a Major in the US Marine Corps for more than 10 years.

Throughout his career, Vincze has specialised in advising pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies, addressing health care law compliance issues, including compliance program design, structure, policies, procedures, training, auditing and monitoring.  He is especially experienced with commercial compliance, FCPA/global compliance and preparing for and implementing Corporate Integrity Agreements (CIA), Deferred Prosecution Agreements (DPA) and Independent Review Organisation (IRO) audits.
