Capita to support Central London Community NHS Trust

19 June 2015

Capita has been selected as the preferred bidder to the Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust’s strategic partnership offer to deliver a range of corporate services to its staff. The consultancy will deliver ICT, HR (payroll and recruitment), estates and facilities management followed by the planned delivery of finance services, in a ten year deal worth £80 million.

The Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) is a healthcare provider for the boroughs of Barnet, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster. The service provides exclusively out-of-hospital, community-based NHS healthcare services for, among others, children and family services, rehabilitation and therapies, palliative care services, offender health services and NHS walk-in and urgent care centres. CLCH  employs 3,000 health professionals and support staff to provide community and in-patient services to a catchment area of almost 1 million people across London.

To support it with the deliverance of corporate services, the CLCH selected consulting firm Capita as the preferred bidder in the formation of a 10-year strategic partnership, valued at £80 million. The contract will see the firm deliver a range of support services to the trust, in the core areas of ICT, HR (payroll and recruitment), estates and facilities management, followed by the planned delivery of finance services to CLCH’s staff. The rationale for the deal is to improve the trusts’ access to innovation in technical services, thereby improvement of services quality at a lower cost.

It will be a key part of helping us deliver the savings needed in 2015/16 and beyond.”
