In late February it was announced that Booz & Company had reached agreement with Management Engineers (ME) on the acquisition of the German consulting firm. Last Tuesday, the global partners of Booz approved the transaction making the acquisition a fact. 17 partners and approximately 145 consultants have made the transition to the international strategy consulting firm.
Management Engineers has built a strong track record since it was founded in 1978. The consulting firm had more than 150 management consultants spread across ten offices in seven countries. In its largest market - homeland Germany - ME consistently ranked among the top 10 strategy consulting firms.
“Our partnership voted resoundingly in favor of this opportunity” zegt Cesare Mainardi, CEO of Booz & Company. “The consultants of Management Engineers are renowned for their deep industry experience and operations expertise, which gives them unique and pragmatic insight when it comes to helping clients achieve targeted results. Booz & Company shares a similar heritage as a firm of practical strategists who get the job done. Our clients will immediately see the benefit of our joined forces and compatible capabilities”.
Peter Mensing, who was appointed Managing Director of Booz & Company in Europe, last week, adds: “This combination accelerates our growth in Europe and amplifies our global reach. We now offer best-in-class consulting services in operations, supply chain management and cost transformation across a broad array of industries, including Automotive, Industrials, Chemicals, and Life Sciences. This move definitively puts us ahead in our key markets”.
