Crunchr, a suite of HR analytics solutions from consulting firm Focus Orange, has been recognised as a ‘Cool Vendor’ by Gartner in its 2015 Cool Vendors in Human Capital Management (HCM) report.
Every year analyst firm Gartner releases so-called ‘Cool Vendor Notes’ across several functional areas, including human capital management. The report throws light on bigger trends that companies need to be aware of, and in the case of HCM, evaluates innovative vendors focused on improving employee referrals, workforce insights and intelligence, communication, and employee engagement.
This year’s Cool Vendors in HCM report recognises five potentially market-breaking vendors, including 9Lenses and Crunchr, a solution owned by Focus Orange. The Netherlands-based consulting firm launched Crunchr in October last year, during the Autumn edition of HR Tech Europe, which took place in Amsterdam, and since the platform has received widespread attention from both media as well as clients, with Gartner the latest in the series providing testimony. According to the developers, Crunchr collects, consolidates and validates employee data from any source into meaningful insights in the areas of organisation analytics, strategic workforce planning, succession management, talent management, employee preferences and rewards.
According to Dirk Jonker, founder and Focus Orange and technology leader of Crunchr, one of the key and distinguishing features of Crunchr is its ability to forecast future scenario’s through simulation, and subsequently “learn” from cases for future reference. “This technology allows Crunchr to learn from decisions by professionals on career advice to individuals or the early identification of talent. We basically make human intuition scalable,” comments Jonker. Since the launch two large firms have already committed their support to the offering – Arcadis and Randstad – with a number of smaller clients in the pipeline, while dozens of CHROs and HR professionals have positively taken of the proposition during seminars and company presentations.
Looking ahead, Jonker says the recognition by Gartner represents a welcome boost to the firm’s exposure, with further international expansion the main ambition of Jonker and his Crunchr team.
