Booz Allen Hamilton, Accenture, KPMG and CBRE have been named top performing companies by Military Times based on their efforts of recruiting veterans and providing them an environment for success. Best for Vets: Employers
Every year, the Military Times, the organisation comprising Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times, publishes its Best for Vets rankings*. One of these rankings is the Best for Vets: Employers ranking, which highlights companies that have a corporate culture and policy that caters to vets.
Companies who want to make the list, are invited to take part in a rigorous, nearly 90-question survey, after which a ranking is developed based on the answers about their recruiting of people connected to the military, company policies related to veterans, and the organisation’s culture.
The sixth edition of the ranking was announced in late April and consists of a list of 74 employers, led by telecommunications company Verizon (#1), financial services firm USAA (#2) and defence & aerospace company Lockheed Martin (#3). Four consulting firms made the ranking, with Booz Allen Hamilton, found on twelfth place, securing the highest spot of the four. An overview of the firms included and their rankings:
