In between the two spells, Van den Oever studied at the Gemological Institute of America, receiving an accreditation as a jewellery professional, after which she co-founded and managed Leila Michaela Fine Jewelry. Prior to joining A.T. Kearney, Van den Oever fulfilled different roles at Calvin Klein, including Licensing Manager, Marketing Associate, and Retail Analyst, between 1994 and 1998 and worked as Assistant Buyer for Saks Fifth Ave between 1992 and 1994.

She brings over 16 years of experience in consulting, industry and start-up environments, during which she mainly focused on retail, luxury and consumer goods, to her new role.

Three new Principals

Elixirr states that it is “delighted to welcome Karina to the team.” For the consultancy it is the fourth addition to its Principal team in a few months, earlier this year Katie Gillett and Emily Farrimond were onboarded from Accenture, while Herbert van der Raad joined from Infosys Consulting.
