Northern Ireland’s regional economic development agency Invest NI has awarded Capita a contract to support its procurement, financial and business intelligence systems. The consulting firm was awarded the five-year deal after it successfully won a public tender.
Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI) is Northern Ireland’s regional economic development agency, which is part of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI). Invest NI provides government support to companies in the region and helps “new and existing businesses to compete internationally, and by attracting new investment to Northern Ireland.”
To assist local Northern Irish businesses, Invest NI offers a combination of financial support, tailored guidance and information for which 600 of its employees require access to its financial, transaction and business intelligence systems.
Recently Invest NI launched a public tender for software support. Following a due diligence on the entries, the five-year contract was awaded to Capita Managed IT Solutions, part of business process outsourcing and professional services firm Capita. Under the contract, the consulting firm will provide full functional and technical support for Invest NI’s procurement, financial and business intelligence systems, including its Oracle E-Business and Oracle Business Intelligence applications, and upgrade its Oracle E-Business software to Release 12 and Business Intelligence solution. The contract runs until 2019 and has the option to be extended for another five years until 2024.
