Dovertail Insurance partners with Duck Creek to scale solution

Marsh subsidiary Dovetail Insurance has partnered with insurance technology services firm Duck Creek. The partnership aims to support Dovetail Insurance scale its technology platform, focused on supporting independent insurance agents service the SME sector in the US.

Marsh, the insurance advisory arm of Marsh & McLennan Companies, acquired South Carolina-based Dovetail Insurance in 2015. The addition netted the firm with a cloud-based platform through which the firm has been better able to service independent insurance agents with online quotes from multiple insurance providers. The platform, which is predominantly focused on the SME market in the US, is led by former IBM Partern, Rich Drab.

The consulting firm recently announced that it has entered into partnership with Duck Creek, a Missouri-based technology service provider. Duck Creek is specialised in a range of technology services to the insurance industry. The partnership will see the technology firm provide management and development to the Dovetail platform and its proprietary technology. Through the partnership, Dovetail aims to access the expertise to allow its platform to scale more rapidly as demand for its services increases.
