Satriun Group, a consulting firm specialised in corporate performance management, has in recent months ramped up its footprint in the DACH region. Among the new joiners is Michael Krause, who has been named Head of the firm’s Zurich office – Krause joined from PwC, where he spent over six years in the company’s Advisory arm.

Founded in 2011, by two former Big Four advisors, Satriun Group is a pan-European firm specialised in financial consultancy. In 2015 the consulting firm, as part of a wider European expansion drive, established a presence in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), where it today operates with hubs in Munich, Geneva and Zurich.

On the back of growing demand for its services in DACH – the firm’s offerings revolve around financial management, corporate performance management (CPM) implementation and regulatory support – Satriun Group’s executive team earlier this year set out a growth strategy for the region. To realise the ambitions, a number of “highly qualified consultants” have joined the firm’s ranks since the start of 2017, says Casper van Leeuwen, Co-CEO of the consultancy.

“Germany, Austria and Switzerland represent an important region for Satriun Group. This market, which is characterised by above average Western growth, houses the headquarters of many of our most trusted customers. In line with the positive market developments and our growing portfolio, we have decided to strengthen our local presence and German-speaking implementation power”, Van Leeuwen remarks.

Michael Krause

One of the prominent new recruits is Michael Krause, who has been appointed a Director and tasked with leading the firm’s Zurich office. Krause has more than a decade of experience in managing and implementing financial transformation projects. He joined Satriun Group in December from PwC in Switzerland, where he latterly headed the Tagetik Center of Excellence and was responsible for CPM implementation projects across the Big Four’s industry footprint. Prior to this, Krause worked for BearingPoint in Germany (Munich office) for four years, where he focused on financial transformation projects at renowned multinationals and large German corporations.

Van Leeuwen says that he is delighted with the addition of Krause, describing him as an “highly recommended expert” in the field of group reporting, consolidation, planning and budgeting. “Due to his convincing record of successful projects, his extensive network and leadership competencies, we are convinced that Michael will make a significant contribution to our growth plans in DACH.”

Remarking on his challenge, Krause states, “As one of the leading corporate performance management experts in DACH, I am convinced that we will be able to leverage our deep CPM expertise, track record across industries and partner network to successfully support our clients with optimising their financial function.”

The firm’s Swiss, Austrian and French operations are headed by Satriun Group Co-CEO Alexandre Constantinescu, a former partner at CPM specialist Stampa Group and advisor at PwC. Other partners of Satriun Group in DACH are Gaël Ménétrier (a banking & insurance specialist and former consultant at among others KPMG and BearingPoint) and Stéphane Racine (a former partner at CPM specialist Stampa Group and advisor at KPMG).
