Shop Direct has hired Assi Gol as the lead of the firm’s customer intelligence teams. Gol joins the company from McKinsey & Company, where he worked with customer-facing companies to improve their various customer service journeys.
Assi Gol joined McKinsey & Company in 2008, and, in the intervening years, worked his way up from Business Analyst to Associate Principal in 2015. During his time at Mckinsey, he was responsible for the creation and delivery of customer experience transforming growth strategies for retailers. Previously, Gol worked at Applied Materials, where he started in 2005, in his latest role at the company he was an Operations Group Leader. Gol started his business career at HBA agencies in 2002 as a Product Manager.
Gol holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Tel Aviv University and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD.
Shop Direct has, over the past few months, been scouting for elite talent to boost its data-driven business development model. The latest addition to the team is Gol, who will take the lead of the firm’s customer intelligence teams. Gol will, from September, be responsible for the oversight of the teams that leverage vast swathes of information to develop a more personalised and engaging customer experience for Shop Direct’s Very.co.uk, Littlewoods.com and VeryExclusive.co.uk retail brands. Gol fills a vacancy left by Dene Jones, who departed earlier this year and currently works as an investor and advisor.
