Protiviti has named a new boss in the UK: Peter Richardson. The consulting veteran, who has been with Protiviti for over five years, previously headed the firm’s Financial Services practice.
Peter Richardson has around thirty years of experience in the consulting industry. He started his career in consulting with Deloitte, and then moved on to PwC, where he spent twelve years, in his last role as head of PwC Consulting’s Insurance practice in the UK. Richardson subsequently held leadership roles at technology consultancies American Management Systems (AMS) and EDS, serving as Head of Financial Services and Head of Insurance respectively. Most recently, prior to joining Protiviti in the summer of 2011, Richardson worked for Atos Consulting as the Managing Partner of its Financial Services industry arm.
At Protiviti, Richardson has, according to the firm, played an integral role in developing the firm’s Financial Services industry practice and the Business Performance Improvement Solution. “Recently, he has worked closely with Andrew Clinton, Protiviti Executive Vice President of International Operations, to drive the UK practice forward, and has led many of the firm’s largest consulting programmes and client relationships”, states the consultancy in a press release.
On the back of his track record, Richardson has, per the 1st July 2016, been appointed Country Head of Protiviti UK, a newly created role which sees him take responsibility for the firm’s local strategy and operations. Richardson will be based in The Shard in London, one of the City’s most iconic skyscrapers, where Protiviti shares a 20,200 square foot office with parent company Robert Half.
Commenting on his new role, Richardson says he looks ahead with confidence: “We have a strong presence and exceptional capability in the risk and compliance and change management spaces, not to mention our ability to provide risk management and assurance services through our IT Consulting and Internal Audit teams. In these uncertain times, our role in helping our clients to face the future with confidence will be ever more key.”
Globally Protiviti has over 3,800 professionals across more than 70 locations in over 20 countries.
