Mott MacDonald has promoted Ian Galbraith to the role of Managing Director of the firm’s Asia-Pacific and Australasia business. Galbraith, who has been with the firm since 2002, replaces Kevin Dixon, who is retiring after 33 years. Galbraith will be based in Singapore.
Prior to joining Mott MacDonald in 2002, Ian Galbraith was a Managing Director at Osprey PMI. At the firm, Galbraith has held a range of operational management positions, across sixteen countries. His primary responsibility has been to negotiate and integrate Mott MacDonald’s acquisitions. In his more recent role, which he held since 2012, Galbraith has been a Managing Director, leading the firm’s development efforts in Europe, Russia and Africa.
Galbraith holds a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying and a Masters degree in Project Management. In addition, he is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Galbraith has been appointed by Mott MacDonald to lead the firm’s Asia-Pacific and Australasia practice as its Managing Director. Galbraith takes over responsibilities from Kevin Dixon, who retires after 33 years of service, for the consultancy’s operations and strategic management across the regions. Galbraith will continue the international flavour of his career, and will be based in Singapore.
Commenting on his appointment, Ian says that he is “thrilled” about his role of heading up operations across these economies. He further adds “We have a long, successful track record across the regions and I am excited to further develop our presence by working with diverse customers to deliver innovative solutions that set ambitious benchmarks across a host of sectors.”
