Accounting and business consulting firm Baker Tilly has expanded its Social Housing Consulting team in the UK with two additions. Frances Hipple has been appointed as Associate Director and Julian Freeman as Managing Consultant.
Frances Hipple joins Baker Tilly as Senior Project Manager with nearly 30 years of experience working within the social housing sector and has worked within the finance teams of four of the largest London housing associations (Circle Anglia, Genesis, Network Housing Group and the One Group) and most recently as Project Manager for the London Borough of Barnet. Hipple brings extensive experience in the consulting branch to her new role, having worked as (Senior) Consultant for LB Haringey, NCC Group, Tribal, and RSM Robson Rhodes.
Julian Freeman, who joins the firm as Managing Consultant, has more than 27 years of experience in the social housing sector, most recently as (Senior) Project Manager for housing association Viridian Housing. In his career, Freeman has worked on a number of projects for Genesis Housing, Notting Hill Housing Trust, Circle and Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation. Freeman also brings experience in consulting to his new function, as he created Julian Freeman Consultancy Services in 2010, a firm he ran as Director for almost three years, and fulfilled the role of Housing Consultant at Academy Information Systems (Capita) for four.
Commenting on the two additions, Gary Moreton, Head of Social Housing at Baker Tilly, says: “We are delighted to welcome Frances and Julian to the team who bring with them a wealth of housing experience gained across both the public and commercial sectors. Their expertise will add further breadth and depth to our already strong portfolio of services for the social housing sector.”
