Opportunity
Within Financial Services Technology Enablement, our Data & Analytics team focus on assisting clients to execute their strategy by optimising the use of Management Information and Business Intelligence. We enable the businesses to realise their objectives through ensuring all aspects of their data optimised to provide the right information to the right people at the right time.

Our key market propositions that you will help us shape and deliver for our clients:
- Enterprise data management – Tracking, controlling and improving information used in an organisation.
- Regulatory impact transformation – Capturing, controlling and managing the impact that regulation has on the enterprise.
- Rapid Business Intelligence – Delivering interactive, informative and creative reporting solutions for clients in short timescales over their financial, performance or risk data.

Role Responsibilities:
- Taking a senior role in executing large client programmes, delivering the highest quality service to our clients, meeting and exceeding their expectations
- Participating in Business Development initiatives, including bid proposal and contract / commercial management and building and maintaining clients
- Creating innovative and successful consulting solutions that enhance, integrate and expand our Data & Analytics capability as a whole
- Developing and sustaining new client relationships and helping to enhance the reputation of KPMG as advisor of first choice for Data & Analytics
- Playing an active role in helping to develop our core Data & Analytics capabilities, products and services to meet client needs
- Help build key Technology Enablement propositions to go to market
- Help build key Technology Enablement propositions to go to market
- Clearly articulate the FS TE propositions to clients and internal staff, acting as a champion for Data across the firm
- Taking an active role in the growth of the Data team and supporting the development of other team members through coaching and mentoring
- Managing your own development in accordance with agreed personal and team goals

The Individual:

- Extensive consulting experience within Data & Analytics and Finance Transformations
- Proactive self-starter who can take ideas and turn them into practical reality
- Driven by the need to excel, in particular having a strong client focus
- Strong communicator with the personal skills to build strong and lasting client relationships
- Commerciality - demonstrated ability to identify profitable opportunities for growing the business

Required Experience:
- Experienced in Financial Reporting and business processes in the Life insurance sector
- Proven track record in the design of complex Data (interfaces, controls, quality) and Financial reporting solutions in the life insurance sector
- Understanding of data requirements and solutions for regulatory reporting (e.g. Solvency II and IFRS) and for specific core Business reporting (e.g. MI, Planning, Forecasting) in the Life Insurance sector
- Proven track record of shaping and delivering complex large-scale consultancy projects and services (£1m+ p.a.)
- An experienced practitioner within the Data & Analytics space (e.g. Information Management, Business Intelligence, structured and unstructured data, Governance) with a history of successfully delivering large scale BI and Data Warehousing projects, typically within a Professional Services or Management Consultancy or Systems Integration organisation (typically Big 5).
- Broad knowledge of the finance function, its organisation, processes and systems, and the importance of management information with organisations
- Substantial experience working within an advisory practice in Performance Management, Strategy or Finance led IT projects or experience with responsibility for running large projects/ programmes
- Full project lifecycle delivery experience in high transaction volume environments
- A proven track record in delivering high quality project, work-stream or assignment outputs

In addition, we would expect that prospective advisors would have one or more of the following recent experiences or skills:

- Experienced Enterprise Information Architects with strong conceptual and logical data modelling skills, and experience of both normalised and dimensional modelling and understanding of which to use when
- Ability work with solution architects and DBAs to build performant data architectures
- Knowledge of RDBMS, DW appliance, BI and EPM market
- Skilled Enterprise Architect, with significant experience with Business Intelligence
- Experience of designing information architectures for BI solutions in batch and real-time load environments
- Experience in designing and helping Client implement Data Governance frameworks, processes, policies, organisational structures, including Data Quality, issue management and ownership
- Related BI experience Master Data Management and Information Integration
- Experience of design and implementation of common BI applications, Data Warehouse technologies and ETL tools such as Oracle Hyperion, SAP Business Objects, IBM Cognos, SAS, Teradata, Informatica, etc.
- Experience of designing and implementing reporting and analytic solutions in tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy, Oracle reporting & analytic solutions, QlikView, Tableau, SAS, SPSS or Microsoft reporting solutions
- Experience gained within the Insurance sector.
