- Position Purpose:
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for software development tasks for a variety of HMM developed applications. This position will maintain existing applications and configuration of new client tools.
The role will require working with the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in and the MVVM design pattern.
This is expected to be a short-term position for approximately 3 months.
Nature and Scope:
This position is a hands-on software development role working with a number of innovative client-facing applications for the Utilities industry.
Knowledge of both Microsoft Silverlight and the MVVM design pattern is essential.
The ability to multi-task and work well within a small team environment on multiple projects simultaneously is also required.
Beyond Silverlight development, due to the nature of our small team it may be possible to get involved in other parts of the projects so experience with .NET web services or Oracle stored procedures would also be advantageous.
- Participate in software development tasks assigned by the project manager(s).
- Participate in design reviews as required.
- 1 or more years of work experience working with Microsoft Silverlight.
- Experience with the MVVM design pattern.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
- Basic knowledge of GIS or digital mapping.
