Working within a small team of business travel consultants to manage customer travel enquiries (by email, telephone and on occasion in person) and to research and respond to these appropriately.
Mott MacDonald Travel consultants are responsible for booking tickets and travel arrangements as requested and managing the administration of each client folder thereafter. Consultants may also be required to take responsibility for other shared administration and general tasks as required by the business.
The role of the business travel consultant will involve dealing with clients from Mott MacDonald. The role may also involve working in the Brighton, Church Street JPT (John Proctor Travel) team on behalf of of Mott MacDonald clients as well as external business travel accounts.
Candidate Specification Candidates should be highly organised, demonstrate an attention to detail and able to manage their own workload efficiently and under pressure. JPT are looking for an experienced Business Travel Consultant with an understanding of airline ticketing, exchanges and refunds. A working knowledge of the Galileo GDS is essential and previous use of Boss (back office) and Evolvi (rail) would be preferable.
Candidates should be strong team players as they will be required to participate and support colleagues in a small, close-knit team. They should also be resourceful and demonstrate ability to problem solve.
Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and will be able to build relationships with clients in a friendly yet professional manner. In addition candidates should have strong sales skills and be able to maximise profit for the business.
