Senior Consultant – Capital Markets / Investment Banking Change Consultant

Role Overview

Capco are looking for management consultants with business analysis and change management experience across technology, business change and service transformation within Capital Markets (e.g. Investment Banking Operations change, OTC Derivatives and Clearing, Risk and Regulatory change)

The role requires the ability to deliver change projects and resolve any risks/issues that may arise. You will be responsible for conducting analysis, advising clients and delivering complex projects for leading Capital Markets clients. Projects range from large scale business or technology transformation to business process re-engineering or Target Operating Model (TOM) design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management consultancy - Business Analysis, Change management and project management on client site
  • Structuring, managing and delivering projects through the full project life cycle
  • Leading analysis and shaping key deliverables (e.g. functional specifications, project plans)
  • Effectively running workshops for clients of varying seniority
  • Delivering  projects using appropriate methodologies (e.g. Prince 2, Waterfall, Agile etc.)
  • Planning and managing the project’s budget and third party contributions and costs, and monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realised benefits
  • Ensuring that project deliverables are high quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and governance structure
  • Building credible, trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Building successful, motivated, productive teams including a mix of Capco, client and 3rd parties/contractors
  • Playing a key role in Capco sales opportunities, including contributing to RFIs and RFPs
  • The ability to demonstrate a creative approach to problem solving in line with Capco’s innovative culture

Experience

  • Significant experience of Business Analysis, Change Management and Project management ideally with a management consultancy
  • Experience of working on complex change projects in the Capital Markets and investment banking world
  • Presenting to and dealing with challenging stakeholders
  • Remaining calm under pressure and thinking clearly to address difficult problems and advise clients on proposed solutions
  • Managing small teams through the full project life cycle
  • Exceptional leadership and communications skills
  • Credible industry expertise in the Capital Markets space in areas of current interest e.g. Investment Banking Operations change, OTC Derivatives and Clearing, Risk and Regulatory change
  • Experience of working as a management consultant

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of formal project management methodologies
  • Experience of budget and resource allocation responsibility
  • Gravitas and credibility to advise other project teams of the impact they will have on the project
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work positively and sensitively with senior stakeholders
  • 100% travel to client site may be required
